Alleged Gates Murderer had Served Time for Drug Conviction in Livingston County April 26, 2015 by JOSH WILLIAMS UPDATE: Alligood had served time in Livingston County, the actual crime did not take place in Livingston County GATES —The alleged gunman that killed a man and injured six others in the Gates Pub has a criminal history that included serving time in state prison for selling drugs in a school zone. According to our news partner 13WHAM David Alligood, 31, was charged with 2nd degree murder after the shooting in the Warner Plaza pub which left Ricky Jones, 31 dead. Alligood appears to have been on parole at the time of the shooting. According to New York State Department of Corrections records he served 5-years of his 7-year sentence before being paroled. Alligood was to serve on parole until 2017. Alligood was serving time based on 3 counts of Felony drug sales, one of which was in a school zone.
