LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Daniel Fisher, the former Assistant Caledonia Boy Scout Leader charged with multiple sex offenses concerning child pornography, made his first appearance in Livingston County Court, where the District Attorney’s office laid out a potential plea deal.
According to Assistant District Attorney Joshua Tonra, Daniel Fisher, 26, has been charged with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, an E felony, Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a C Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, an A misdemeanor.
DA McCaffrey said that Fisher is also alleged to have enticed a 14-year-old boy into committing sexual acts, but is not charged out of Livingston County in connection to that conduct. DA McCaffrey said that the U.S. Attorney’s Office is readily able to take this case.
The terms of the offer are that Fisher would avoid any federal charges with a guilty plea to Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child and agree to serve 3 to 9 years in state prison.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond and the case has been adjourned until December.
