INTERSTATE 390: Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of an Allegany, NY woman on a drug related charge after a traffic stop on Interstate 390. On February 8, 2019 Deputy Matthew Moran was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Operation Safe interstate initiative when he stopped a vehicle on Interstate 390 in the Town of Groveland for a violation on the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as 31 year old Jamie L. Stutz. During the Deputy Sheriff’s roadside interview Stutz was found to be in possession of a smoking device commonly used for smoking crack cocaine along with packaging also commonly used for holding crack cocaine.
Stutz was arrested and charged with Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree. Stutz was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. Stutz was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of York Justice Thomas Porter. The Judge remanded
Stutz to the custody of the Sheriff on $250 cash bail or $500 bond.
