LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Tuesday morning’s icy roads contributed to multiple car accidents in which multiple people were injured.
According to first responders on scene at mile marker 46 on 390 southbound, at about 6:38 a.m. a Jeep was driving under the speed limit, possibly due to the weather conditions, when a Chevy Impala collided with its rear, sending both vehicles off of the road.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
There were also collisions on Rte. 63 and Rte. 20 A in Geneseo, and in Groveland, and numerous vehicles off the road across the county.
Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies and local police were stationed with lights flashing at multiple hazardous bridges in Livingston County to encourage drivers to slow down and use caution.
Firefighters and ambulance crews with local and county fire and ambulance departments were at the scenes of multiple accidents through 8 a.m.
