CALEDONIA – The Caledonia Police Department is seeking the community’s help in returning two lost dogs to their owners.
According to a press release from the Caledonia Police Department, the dogs were almost struck by a car on Rte. 5 near the Gunsmoke Restaurant.
A woman found them and brought them to Caledonia Police at about 6 p.m. on Monday after trying to locate the owner at several houses in the area with no luck.
Caledonia Police said that the dogs appear to be pit bull mixes, about three months old, and that the tan one is a female and the black one is a male. They were both found without collars or tags. Caledonia Police Chief Daniel Chapman took the dogs home with him for temporary placement, and they will be brought to York Animal Hospital to check for micro chipping.
Chief Chapman asks that anyone with information about the dogs or their owners to contact Caledonia Police at (585)538-6200.
