NYLON – A regional business puts a whole new spin on the popular ‘paint and sip’ industry, whereby participants take a painting lesson while enjoying a cool beverage.
Alysha Zyglocke-Eadie is the founder of Abandoned Palette Studios, a Rochester-based painting business that is regularly traveling south into Livingston County to teach paint and make memories through the creating works of art. Abandoned Palette Studios offers various party-based classes, ranging from paint and sips to children birthday parties, and will host a paint n’ sip right in your own home.
“We do kids parties, including girl scout parties and birthday parties,” Says owner Alysha Zyglocke-Eadie. “Which is basically paint and sip minus the sip and kids absolutely love them.”
Abandoned Palatte’s exceptionally versatile studio holds private parties at customers’ homes as well as public events offered at local venues, including restaurants, breweries and wineries. Events put on by Abandoned Palette have been offered at Big Sky Restaurant & Saloon in Dansville, Original Stump Blower Cider Works in Lakeville, and Deer Run Winery in Geneseo.
With a passion for painting and a devotion to help all ages levels channel their inner artist, Zyglocke-Eadie has big plans for her budding business.
“The main goal is to increase the frequency of the paint and sip parties at local restaurants,” said Zyglocke-Eadie. I plan to expand on that and become more of an art studio that will offer a variety classes and programs for all age groups and experience levels.”
