AVON – A local teen is on his way to the ‘pinnacle experience of 4-H citizenship’ as a delegate at the National 4-H conference in Maryland.
According to a press release from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County (CCE), Avon resident Ethan Low, a 13-year member of 4-H, will represent Livingston County in Chevy Chase, Maryland at the conference that ‘engages delegates in personal development experiences that increase their knowledge, resources, and skills while they discuss topics affecting youth and 4-H programming nationwide.’
4-H says that Low has participated in countless hours of project work, community service, and leadership activities. He was honored as the 2016 Outstanding 4-H Member at the Livingston County 4-H end of year celebration.
Ethan plans to pursue a degree in Political Science after graduating high school. Ethan feels that the opportunity to attend the conference will provide insight into government and allow him to meet other youth with similar interests and goals.
