LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Next Monday marks the 150th Commemoration of Memorial Day and in Livingston County every Village has an event planned.
Memorial Day, by tradition is celebrated on the last Monday of May. In 1971 the day became an official federal holiday.
AVON
Starts at 10:30 a.m. from the Avon Senior High School at ends at the Village Park Monument where there will be a ceremony.
CALEDONIA
CALEDONIA
Starts at 10 a.m. from the Caledonia-Mumford School and ends at Hamilton Park where there will be a ceremony.
DANSVILLE

Starts at 10 a.m. from the Legion and ends at the Memorial where there will be a ceremony.
GENESEO
Starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Village Park and will end at the Civil War Monument (near St. Mary’s Church and the Court House), and returns to the Village Park following services where there will be a ceremony.

LIVONIA
Starts at 10 a.m. on Commercial Street and will end at the Livonia Public Library where there will be a short ceremony.
NUNDA
Starts at 11 a.m. at 4 Massachusetts Street and ends at Oakwood Cemetery where there will be a ceremony.
