Around the state:
On May 13, 2019, the New York State Police responded to the Southern Cayuga School in the town of Venice, Cayuga County, for a report of a student making violent threats towards other students at the school. Troopers located the student at his residence he and was subsequently taken into custody without incident. The 13-year-old student was processed at SP Auburn and charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, a class “D” felony. The student is scheduled to appear in the Cayuga County Family Court on May 22, 2019.
