GENESEO — The 12th Annual Fiddlers Picnic, a celebration of old time country music, will be held at Long Point Park on August 3.
The Fiddlers Picnic will be held Saturday, August 3 from 11a.m. until 8:30p.m. under the pavilion at Long Point Park on Conesus Lake.
The Fiddlers Picnic is a free event that showcases nine different acts including, The Lucky Pluckers, Bob Bunce with Joe Dady, Howard and Cher, Muldoon’s Flying Acoustic Circus, Beaver Creek Bluegrass, The Band Anastazja, Craig Wilkins and the Western New Yorkers’ Tribute to Johnny Cash, Dick Jopson, and The Stardusters.
Funding for the Fiddlers Picnic is being assisted by a decentralization grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts, and the generous contributions of the Town of Geneseo, WCJW Radio, Geneseo Wegmans, Geneseo Kiwanis, Patti LaVigne, Geneseo Rotary, SUNY Geneseo College Union Activities, White Horse Auto Sales, Genesee Graphics, and ESL Federal Credit Union.
Bands will be playing all day under the trees and a chicken barbeque will be available for purchase by the Geneseo Kiwanis.
Picnic baskets, coolers, and lawn chairs are welcome.
Long Point Park is located on the west shore of Conesus Lake, State Route 256.
