Livingston County Officially Enters Tax Agreement with Airbnb

LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The ink dried on the tax agreement between Livingston County and Airbnb on Thursday. According to a press release from Airbnb, the agreement 'allows the world’s largest home sharing platform to collect and remit county hotel occupancy taxes on behalf of thousands of guests who visit the county every year.' New County Law Expands ‘Bed Tax’ to Include AirBnB

LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County Board of Supervisors approved an expansion of the County's tax on hotels and motels to include private residences that periodically rent rooms, like homeowners who use the websites and apps like AirBnB  to post rooms for rent for a short time.
